Patch 0.5.1

CHANGELOG 0.05.1

1. Added tips to dances (If your self-esteem is high. If it's low, you will be shorted some of your fee)

2. lower milk production (brought this down to realistic sizes (about 1L of milk produced a day) * holding

3. decreased effectiveness of milk buffs (Before the change the buffs would take your current production and multiply by 0.15 then add that to the current amount making stacking really ramp up. Now buffs just add a flat rate.

4. Increased the time since milk variable to three turns (one day) so you do not get punished for going a whole day without milking.

5. greatly lowered the cost increase of fertilitea (*0.25 every purchase to *0.05)

6. Added heart icon to the club button to alert if someone is requesting a dance and removed the text in the dialogue box to reduce bloat.

7. Added milk spray icon to lounge button to alert when your current milk is over your milk capacity.

8. Bug fixes. Thanks to everyone who has submitted them!

Development notes:

1. I'm slowly working self-esteem into more things. This rewards high self-esteem and also helps dancing make more money. If your esteem is average, then you get whatever you set your price to be or whatever you agree to. Low self-esteem will see you lose a small percent of your set price (you still make money)

2 - 5. These are just more economy buffs. As I said before, I'm trying to bring everything in line with each other. I think milking will still be good money (after you invest in it a bit) but I want it to be a little bonus cash at the end of the day instead of being the only activity you do all day. I also lowered the rate at which the fertilitea cost increases because it got pretty astronomical towards the end there.

6 - 7. As I use the global dialogue box more, it becomes more bloated. To reduce this bloat, I'm going to try and add in visual cues to things. These may go away in the future, just trying new things.

So I've now played around on this current patch and I think you may still be making a good deal too little money from dances. I went through a couple of pregnancies (I think like 4?) and focusing on min-maxing milk production I'm already at $1414 per click but dancing even when confident roughly $800. Which is good money don't get me wrong and I LOVE the little icons you've added they help so much... but I can just mindlessly spam click milk yourself and get more money with less effort and thought.

That being said, it feels a lot more... "fair" this time around. I'm not sure the numbers need to be tweaked much and I'm not sure how many people are maximising things like me. I'm mostly doing it now for stress testing purposes I guess.

Also should eneregy drinks scale in price? I can buy an infinite amount for $15 and I make way more than that either dancing or getting milked so I can just extend the day for as long as I want with no trouble. The Extend drink still works as expected and scales.

Out of curiosity, are you adjusting your dance prices in the lounge at all? I think milking will be the highest form of income since that's the only thing you can really buff, for now, so it's natural after putting in a lot of money it comes out on top.  I think I may make it so that you can only milk when at or near capacity then add a buff you can buy like perfume or something that'll make it so you make 2x from dances. I don't want to limit playstyles so it's tough deciding to scale something back like that.

I'm glad you like the icons, I was iffy on them but seems like I may keep them in after all.

For the energy drinks, I could limit them to like three a day (it would be realistic after all since your heart would explode after drinking 20... plus I don't think you're supposed to drink those while pregnant). You've definitely given me a lot to think about and your feedback has been greatly appreciated!

No I haven't been changing the prices at all. Is that a thing I should be doing? I wasn't quite sure how... intended a game mechanic they were. It looked almost like a dev menu to me. But I guess that means people can say it's too high? I'll do some tests in a bit.

Right I've done some quick testing... and  yeah if you've got good confidence and a max size belly you can charge a lot. The feature that lets you get slightly less but still a major amount is nice in some ways and annoying in others.

So two things I guess. First, there needs to be a more clear way to set dance prices or see what your dance price is because I had to go looking, and even when I found it I wasn't sure it was a thing you "should" do because of the "admin console" in another similar menu.

Secondly, I have no idea when the optimum time is to up my prices or what a good price actually is. This goes back to what I was saying about the milking being efficient and painless. You just get large amounts of capacity and production then click the button. You don't need to think too hard about it. Just push the button, or push it when you have a milk icon if you want to be a bit more efficient about it but that's all the decision making you need.

Doing the dances well requires "balancing a few plates" and there will be resistance to that. My current recomendation? Find some way to give people a pricing chart either based on belly size or how many kids you are having. Perhaps integrate it into the social system where you can ask other dancers what there pay per dance is to get some idea of what you should be charging.

Though also note. I have no idea how the dance prices are meant to work anymore. I set my price to 20,000 which seemed like a decent amount... but I actually get a differing number in the millions. (One dance got me about 2.8, but another just got me like 4.2) So... not sure how that's working. Like at all.

How does one improve self esteem (in game obviously)?

In game, you can talk to the other dancers in the lounge. In real life, I'll let you know as soon as I figure that one out.
